KIUD at Techtextil: Made in Europe, Built for Circularity

Great to be back at Techtextil after two years.

This year, the focus was clear: more innovation, more advanced fibres, more recycling, and more serious conversations around closing the loop in the textile industry.

For KIUD, these are exactly the topics that matter.

Our colleague Liis Tiisvelt, Co-Founder of KIUD, attended the event and joined many inspiring discussions about the future of European textiles, circular materials, and how innovation can help the industry move forward.

One of the key highlights was the keynote by Dirk Vantyghem, Director General of EURATEX – European Apparel and Textile Confederation. His message was honest and relevant: the European textile industry has been facing increasing pressure from fast-changing regulations, including deforestation regulation, EU Taxonomy, Carbon Border Adjustment, Due Diligence Directive, and Corporate Sustainability Reporting.

While regulation is important, the speed and complexity of change have created uncertainty for many companies.

But the bigger question raised was even more important:

What is the recipe for keeping textile competitiveness in Europe?

At KIUD, we believe part of the answer lies in practical circular innovation, local production, and giving existing materials a second life.

That is why we are proud to develop reusable packaging made from textile waste, produced in Europe and designed for real-world logistics, retail, and circular supply chains.

“Made in Europe” is becoming more than a label. It is becoming a preference, a value, and a direction for the future.

Events like Techtextil remind us why collaboration, innovation, and strong European textile networks matter.
